Why Yoga Therapy?
In our day and age, most people find it hard to switch “off”. It has become so sociable, most people don’t question it. Until stress turns into symptoms: You might feel restless, distracted, irritable or even suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. On a physical level you could be experiencing back pain, digestive issues or regular migraines. Stressful thoughts can express themselves through your body creating tightness, numbness, dizziness or insomnia. There are too many symptoms of chronic stress to name them all. But there also are very effective ways to recover. Yoga Therapy combines gentle movement, breath and meditation to release your body and mind from the effects of stress.

Anyone who has experienced a full blown panic attack knows fear is powerful. I went through my first one at the age of 24 while working for a German publishing company. I was so invested in my job that I had forgotten about my basic needs. When dizziness became a daily occurrence and leaving my bed felt like a challenge, I knew things had to change. Back then I wish someone had told me about the subtle ways fear can sneak into your mind and body. I was convinced I had a terrible disease but my actual problem was much more complex. Yoga was always in my life: my mother owns a small studio in Bavaria, Germany. But it never became relevant before this part of my life.

My new signature program is an organized approach to diving deeper into your yoga practice than any regular group class. Yoga Therapy bridges yoga and healthcare to shine a light on the holistic concept of healing and resilience. In three modules you will encounter the different layers of being and create awareness for yourself as a whole: body, mind and emotion. We will move, rest, meditate and create space for consciousness. Holding yourself accountable for a 9-week period is key to this well structured introduction to the depths of yoga therapy.
